Agency

The Build to Rent agency team has advised on over £5bn of specialist BTR investment and development projects to date. Drawing on our in-house expertise, we advise both developers and investors through the design and transaction stages of a development.

With a combined BTR experience of over 30 years, we offer sector specialist advisory services for both city centre, multi-family schemes and single-family rental housing. Our coalface experience helps inform bespoke advice and transaction structuring in a dynamic sector. The strong relationships we have formed with institutional and private equity markets places us at the forefront of the market.

Research

The value of research in the preparation of a Build to Rent proposal is fundamental for investment decisions and forms an integral part of our BTR agency and valuation offering. We have vast experience of reviewing sites for BTR development.

To extract the most out of an opportunity, our approach is to conduct a bespoke, in-depth review of the market at the first stage of the process. To ensure a comprehensive understanding of the market, we delve deep into supply-demand characteristics, affordability, rental and sales levels and the key demographic dynamics of an area. The research process requires high levels of due diligence, accuracy and a thorough assessment of market nuances to support a BTR proposition.

Valuation

Accurate property valuation is essential for informing investment strategy and decision making. Boasting an enviable list of BTR case studies, our specialist valuers understand the nuances of this asset class. We use our breadth of experience to help clients value engineer opportunities and maximise value. We provide robust asset, rental value and strategic management assessments that inform viability, design, planning and the potential for alternative development options. We also have extensive experience providing more traditional Red Book valuations for loan security and internal purposes.

Management

Allsop Letting & Management was established in 1999 as a subsidiary of Allsop, offering end-to-end property management solutions tailored to optimise each asset. We currently operate over 5,000 residential units nationwide and specialise in institutional grade Build to Rent assets in both single and multi-family sectors. Since our establishment, we have won multiple awards, our most recent being 'Top Rated Single Family Housing Operator' at the HomeViews Residential Awards 2024.

Through our frontline experience, we advise a multitude of clients on the creation of a fit for purpose BTR proposition through our consultancy service. Our advice ensures that investment cases are built on robust real-world practicalities and ensures the fundamental operation of a building is at the heart of design. Additionally, the use of existing asset data and a closely aligned working relationship with the BTR Investment and Development team, ensures any management or operational advice is given with a view to real world return on investment.
