Hello all
Summer has arrived (rain aside) and there is sport galore – whether it’s football, Wimbledon or the conquering Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone – it’s been quite a week. It has been a welcome distraction from the endless politics we have endured for the last six weeks!
We now have a new Labour Government. Whatever your political persuasion and whether, for you, that means the sun will shine or the heavy storm clouds form, time will tell. What we do know is that after lots of words, pledges and promises, it’s now time for action.
Will it be good for property? Will homes be built on Green, Grey or Brown… we’ll see.
There are a number of excellent articles in this packed edition of ALL that tackle many of the live thought-provoking issues in the make up of our everyday lives.
We look at the growth of real estate in sports; how you create a top rated single family housing scheme; are shopping centres a busted flush or Pandora’s box for the private investor? We look at electric vehicle charging points and whether it’s an opportune time to invest; and, in the Allsop Recoveries and Receivership team the big question “to build or not to build” when appointed over a part-built development scheme. We ask for how long will The City of London be a changing mixed-use destination; and our Asset Management Team outline the importance of professional advice when buying commercial property; the return of office to residential, the trips and tips for landlord dilapidations, permitted development – what’s your exit; and Mark Gower looks at the importance of good practices in the auction world, particularly ensuring the unconditionality of the auction contract.
Again, a truly packed edition with all our news and views.
Enjoy the read.
